Reminder: boats tonight + please bring games

Tonight is the rain gutter regatta!

I'll be at the school about 6:15 to get things set up. The meeting starts at 6:45. You are welcome to come help setup too. We will have two boat tracks and will run heats of races - four scouts at a time.

Last year, we found it worked well to run a single elimination bracket and then let the boys pick their own matches after the official race for fun. 

We will also have a best boat contest where the scouts can cast ballots for their favorite boats.

The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and best boats will get a trophy that we'll hand out in the next pack meeting. 

Plus...

It can tend to be a bit chaotic during the races with the spectators. Please, bring outdoor games to keep the boys entertained. Examples:

- ball for 4 square

- sack toss

- frisbee

- hula hoops 

- etc
