Blue and Gold Banquette in May or June

Hey leaders. Last year we got a good response to doing a Blue and Gold Banquette for the scouts.

The banquette was a pitch-in style dinner with each den doing a skit or activity along a theme. We used the preceding meeting for each den to prepare. In addition to the dinner, we could do presentation of badges.

We could shoot for May or June to do this. I'm somewhat inclined to vote for June so that we keep May open for any remaining requirements for the pack -- Mike, how are we looking here?

It might be good to solicit parent volunteers to help plan and conduct this as well. Waiting until June would allow the parents time to meet and plan as well.

Thoughts?

Love the idea but would selfishly lean towards end May since Kenta is headed to Japan on Memorial Day. Count me in to help.

I wonder if other parents are considering the same thing.

It sounds like the Tigers will be ready for badges in May. (the wolves can be ready - Derin and I need to sort out specifics, though).

How about the other dens?

I agree we shouldn't do it in June. We could aim for our regular May
pack meeting or swap with the den meeting so it's the last meeting in
May. 2nd den meeting in May could be spent making/rehearsing banquet
stuff.
