Good morning Parents of Pack 116,

I hope you all enjoyed the last long weekend of summer!  We had a great time last week at our Back to Scouts event on 08/30/2022.  The marshmallow catapults and marshmallow slingshots were a hit with our Cubs!

This weekend we are meeting at 10:00 AM at Cottonwood Glen Park for a hike in the Pineridge Natural Area around Dixon Reservoir.  We will hike up over the ridge into the natural area and prepare a scavenger hunt for each rank level.  If you have an extra clipboard, please bring along with you.  Our meeting should last around one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes.

Popcorn sales have started!  This is our major fundraiser for the year and all members of the Pack are encouraged to sell.  If you sell at least $700 in popcorn per Scout, $60 of your dues will be refunded to you in the Spring.  Here is a link to the Sign  Up Genius for time slots on storefront sales.  Please reach out to Popcorn Kernel Robert Kaczanowski if you would like to do door to door sales in your neighborhood and need to check out some of your own inventory.  Rob...@co-realty.com

New families interested in Cub Scouts:

Please visit www.BeAScout.org for information on registration.  New families will register with Scouts BSA online and pay the one time $25 fee and National Organization fee of $75.00.  Please look for Cub Scout Pack 116 chartered out of McGraw Elementary.  Please review the attached brochure outlining our meeting schedule and dues.

Returning Families:

Our returning Scouts will not need to register online.  The Pack will handle their registration.  The $75.00 National Organization fee and the $60 local area council fee is included in the Pack dues of $250 per Scout.  You can offset this cost by selling popcorn.  Pack dues must be paid this year by 11/01/2022.  If the Pack has not received your dues by 11/01/2022, your Scout will not be included in the recharter.  Please see the attached flyer for our meeting schedule and details about dues and what is behind the cost.
