Den Meeting Tuesday 7 PM

Hi All,

Our next Den meeting is this Tuesday 7 PM at Lopez.  As of now, there are a few items remaining toward completion of the Arrow of Light award.  We will be working to complete these over the next couple of meetings. 

Here are the activities that are left to cover for the group:

Building a Better World -

 Requirement #5 - As a Pack/Den the boys should plan and execute an activity.  We were thinking a small service project would be very appropriate but it
could be something else.  Have your boys start thinking about some

possible options.

Requirement #6 - As a group we plan to discuss where our energy comes from, but there are several other options available if you miss the meeting.

Scouting Adventure
#6 - Refresher on Knife Safety

(this one also has the requirement about visiting a scout troop.  If you have not done that, it is required.)

Outdoor Adventure
Discuss weather safety around an outdoor activity
Discuss what makes an ideal tent site and practice setting up tents  

Tie a bowline

Duty to God in Action 

This should be completed at home.

In the future:

Dave and Jake are planning to attend the Troop 97 regular troop meeting on October 28th. (7:00 - 8:15 at St Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 S Stover) If you would like to attend a "regular" meeting, this would be a good one.  Troop 97 will also be holding their Scout Showcase on Nov 11th (6:45 - 8:15 at St Luke's).  The event on the 11th is a recruiting event for AOL scouts and will likely have Webelos from many different packs.  

Our next Den meeting will be on November 12.  Dave and I will be reviewing our remaining requirements to determine what we will be covering at that meeting.
