Hey Scout Fam,

We hope that everyone is keeping warm and enjoying your time with family. Here are our upcoming events and announcements:

I. Pack Adventure Meetings for the month of February: 

2/2/26   @ FFC 6:30P-8:00P First Derby Prep Design and Cutting

2/3/26   @ FFC 6:30P-8:00P Derby Prep Design, Cutting & Painting

2/7/26   @ FFC 10A-11:30A  Derby Painting & Assemble

2/9/26   @ FFC 6:30P-8:00P Final Derby Prep

2/21/26 @ FFC 10A-11:00A  Pinewood Derby Race

2/23/26 @ FFC 6:30P-8:00p Pack Adventure Meeting

II.  Swimming lessons, for the Cubs who are enrolled, will conclude in February. The next sessions are Saturday 2/7, 2/14, 2/21 & 2/28. If there are any cancellations you will know in advance.

III. Derby season now starts on Monday, 2/2/26. The Pinewood Derby is an iconic Cub Scout event where scouts work with a parent or guardian to design, carve, and race their own custom cars. The activity aims to build confidence, strengthen bonds, and teach teamwork, ingenuity, and sportsmanship.  As we enter into derby season for the next few meetings, we want to ask for volunteers to help with the wood cutting & construction of the cars. So if you have any woodworking/carpentry knowledge or if you know your way around a power tool, we are looking for you. Thanks in advance.  

IV. On Saturday, 2/7/26, join us at Hapeville First Baptist Church for an inspiring evening at our District Awards Banquet as we celebrate the achievements and dedication of the leaders and Scouts who make our district shine! 🎖️:  612 College St. Hapeville, GA 30354 @ 6:30P-8P.

V. Get your hiking shoes ready! On Saturday, 2/28/26, our Scouts are hitting the trail for an exciting hike at Cascade Nature Center 🥾: 2852 Cascade Rd, Atlanta GA 30311 @ 11A-1:00P
