Hello scout family,

I. Fire Station Visit Sat. 11/9/24: Come out and find out what it's like to be a firefighter. Where do they live? What do they do? They have asked us to carpool so that we don't block the trucks' access and b/c they have limited parking. We have the church van so we will be able to shuttle everyone over to the Fire Station on Sat. morning. Parents please be at the church for a 9:45am departure. It will probably take us two trips. We will be visiting Station #3 at 4035 Stonewall Tell Rd, College Park, GA 30349.

II. Friendship Community Church will be having their annual Veterans Day Scout Flag Presentation and Veteran's Brunch on Sunday, 11/10/24 8:15 - 12pm. Cub scouts will be participting with the boy scouts and the girl scouts and are to wear their Class A (Field) uniforms. All scouts are strongly encouraged to attend. The church is one of our biggest sponsors and do so much for the scouts. We try our best to show up and show out when called upon as a way of showing thanks. If you are attending, PLEASE meet at the Fellowship Hall at 8:15am. All scouts will hand out "Thank you" cards immediately after service during the Veterans Brunch.

Brodney Talley will unveil his Eagle Scout Project to the veterans during the brunch. He created a Veterans and First Responders Commemorative space to honor our special guests.

III. Our next pack meeting is Mon. 11/18/24. Topic is Citizenship.

IV. Join us as we team up with the Boy Scouts for our annual Holiday community service event. This year we will be partnering with C.H.O.I.C.E.S. again for their 8th Annual Thanksgiving Food Packing on Sat. 11/23/24 at 8am at Atlanta Metro College.
Please use this link to sign up. https://volunteer.handsonatlanta.org/registrations/Z7xw1Szpj8/claim_spot Parents you have to sign up once for yourself and again for each cub coming. Sign ups are used to keep track of the expected number of volunteers as well as a lunch count (lunch will be provided). The organization is asking that we be there on time to cut down on unnecessary traffic as this event is a food box drive up.

V. Pack Meeting: Mon. 12/2/24

VI. Save the date. MidYear Awards and Outing @Spocha/Round 1: Sat. 12/14/24 11am - 1pm. More details to come.
