Hi all -
I'd like to see us get some more green/sustainable stuff happening in
our city, and no better place to start than in our parks system. I'd
love to hear ideas. These are a few things I've thought of --
--a farmer's market
--community gardens
--a regular Pick Up Pacific day (like the one put together in May by
Brad Reed and Mike Pigg)
--creating more drought-tolerant beds with native plants
--bird and bee attractive plantings
---more walking, hiking, biking trails, especially connecting one side
of town with another

Other ideas, thoughts?

How about a recycling center for cans plastics and glass? This could
help us clean up the parks and the town. hte parks could be a drop
point.
