Betty Lou is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Clyde Shifley, their four children – Alan (Tammy) Shifley of Kings Valley Oregon; Linda (Donny) Smith of Rochester, New York; Jim (Sue) Shifley of Rochester, New York; and Ruth (Ron) Cross of Port Orchard, Washington – her sister Gertrude Lytle of Houghton, New York, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends across the United States whose lives she touched during her years on this earth. She treasured and prayed continually for each one. Before slipping away Betty Lou was able to spend time praying, singing hymns and laughing with her family. She possessed a simple and almost child-like faith that carried her through the good times and the hard times in her life, and ultimately into the arms of her Savior. She is already being missed, but we look forward to the reunion that will be coming someday
