Clark Funeral to Be Held Saturday
Funeral services for George Clark Jr., 17, Salinas, who was killed
Sunday evening in an auto accident on the Prunedale cutoff, will be
held at the Muller mortuary, Salinas, Saturday morning at 10 o’clock.
Burial will be in the Monterey cemetery, Knights of Pythias section.
The youth had attended Pacific Grove high school ans was widely known
her ein church and Boy Scout work. The entire Clark family suffered
injuries in the crash, which also claimed the life of William O.
Smith, 28, Salinas, driver of the other machine, and injured his
passenger, Homer Neil, 22, Salinas, seriously. Russell Clark, 12,
brother of the dead youth, is in serious condition at the Valley
hospital. His father, George Clark Sr., will be taken to Ft. Miley
hospital tomorrow. His mother, sister Ruth and brother Robert are
expected soon to be sent home from the hospital.
