Danny Lee Schupbach July 28, 1945 ~ November 11, 2009 Pacific Grove -
Danny L. Schupbach, born July 28, 1945 in Berkeley, passed away at
Community Hospital on November 11. A 58-year resident of the
Peninsula, he was a Pacific Grove High School graduate and received
his Masters in Sociology from Pepperdine. Danny was proud to have
served in the U.S. Army. Danny loved outdoor activities including
camping, hunting and fishing. He was a gourmet cook, was an avid fan
of the 49ers, SF Giants, and NASCAR, and enjoyed country music. In his
lifetime, he belonged to a SOCKO league, was a volunteer fireman in
Pacific Grove, was a volunteer at the AT&T Pro Am for over 20 years,
and was once the President of the Seaside Rotary club. Danny is
survived by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Sarah Schupbach of
Monterey and Kirstin Gervia of Midway, GA; his stepsons, Greg De Mateo
of Salinas and David De Mateo, Sr. of Hollister; and five
grandchildren. His parents, Clifford and Mabel, and his brother,
David, preceded him in death. At his request, no services will be
