Frances Victoria (Vicki) Collins, 20, of Pacific Grove died
unexpectedly this morning at her home, the second such death in the
family in the past four days. Her sister, Brenda, 19, died at home
Thursday afternoon. Coroner Christopher Hill Jr. said both deaths
apparently were from natural causes but that autopsies so far have not
identified what they were. Funeral services for Brenda, scheduled for
this morning were canceled and joint services for the sisters are
pending at the Paul Mortuary. Vicki apparently failed to awaken this
morning and was dead by the time an ambulance could reach the home, 410
Monterey Ave. Brenda collapsed and died Thursday afternoon under
similar circumstances. Neither had shown signs of illness before their
deaths. Hill said more detailed autopsy investigations will be made,
including microscopic and toxicology tests, in an effort to solve the
mysterious deaths. Surviving the girls are their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Collins, a sister, Faye, and three brothers, Paul Collins Jr., and
Selwyn and Terry Collins, all of Pacific Grove. They also leave their
