Funeral services were conducted February 16, 2008 for Charles "Chic"
I. Thompson, 76 of Hat Creek. Burial followed at the Burney District
Cemetery. Mr. Thompson died of natural causes February 9 at Mayers
Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills. He was born August 30, 1931 in
Hanford, CA and moved to the area in 1987 from Petaluma. He was a
supervisor for GTE Telephone in Novato, CA for 32 years, a U.S. Army
Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Hat Creek Baptist
Church. He is survived by wife Julie of Hat Creek; son James of El
Dorado, CA; daughter Kathleen Skoog of Petaluma; brothers Raymond and
Jerome of Idaho; sisters Shirlyn of Mesa, AZ and June Cates of
Petaluma: and five grandchildren. The family requests that memorial
contributions be made in his name to Intermountain Hospice, P.O. Box
459, Fall River Mills.
