PERSians,

As you know our meeting is rapidly approaching March 19-21, I recently sent you an email detailing the deadlines.  

Housing

After speaking with Talaris conference center they have graciously agreed to continue to offer on a first come, first served basis the rooms at the $149.00 per night rate, please identify as a member of our group when you call: 206-268-7000.

There are still some rooms with 2 queen beds so if you are bringing students that can share rooms that would be a great option.

Election

The secretary/treasurer position is on the election rotation this year, Jeannie Gilbert is running again but if you are interested in stepping up to this responsibility then email  her for a full job description:  some of the things she does for us: Serving on the Annual Meeting committee to facilitate registration payments and coordinate payments to facilities and vendors we deal with for the meetings.  Tracking all our expenses and income throughout the year, keeping all the non-profit paperwork filed and up to date with the state and federal government, attending and keeping minutes of any board meetings (both in person and Skype calls), taking general meeting minutes.  At this time she is still maintaining our website and will be converting it to a Wordpress site soon.  Social media is handled by our very capable grad students so that is not part of the job description.  She can give you more details on all these tasks and more if you just send her an email: jeannie...@gmail.com

We are registering the students far below our meeting cost this year and we are counting on sponsors, a big thank you goes to G.L. Williams and Associates, and the Padilla Bay Foundation who have very generously provided $500 sponsorships.  If you know of anyone who might be able to offer a sponsorship of any level please let Jude Apple know: Jude....@wwu.edu and he can send you our informational flyer for sponsors.   

Students

We have not received any travel grant or research grant applications at this time, if you want to know before the meeting if you received a travel grant please get those request in asap.
