The 13:15 flight of United Airlines out of Terminal 4 was delayed.
Since, "The Hit" was not going to be meeting with anyone on business
that day, he decided to wait in a bar close to the Gate for the
flight. He would wait for the announcement that the flight was
boarding in the bar. The delay was an extended delay for technical
purposes, and "The Hit" became aware of the same people from the
Skywalk. There was a blond man in his 20's with what appeared to be
an older blond woman with him in the gate area. They were now waiting
for the flight as well. They also decided to enter the Roadhouse 66
Bar with him. "The Hit" sat down at the bar, and they also took a
chair along the bar. The hit sat in the bar waiting while he walked
to the Check In Desk at the gate every 10 minutes to check on the
length of the delay. Finally, the Check In Desk told him that they
would make an announcement on the speaker system once the flight was
ready to leave from Gates B 1 - B 17 for US Airways. "The Hit"
returned to the Roadhouse 66 Bar.

"The Hit" went to the United Airlines counter expressing his problem
after his routine check of the Gate area. He realized the passengers
were all gone now. He found a United Airlines ticket booth, and he
complained. He found himself complaining with the two blond people in
the bar. The United Airline staff put up a good fight, but after
confirmation there had been no notifications on the airport speakers.
They made their routine checks, and they were able to put "The Hit" on
another flight in Terminal 4 in Phoenix. "The Hit" was able to get on
the 16:00 hour flight on US Airways for the non stop flight to
Philadelphia to arrive at 22:19 local time with the blond tagger
following along. "The Hit" had phoned ahead during the delay to let
Bill know that he was not on the original schedule so he should not
pick him up at the airport, so he took the $40.oo dollar cab ride from
the airport to the Westin Hotel where Bill had reserved a room in
Philadelphia.

Canadian Christmas: Still Determined

Bob and "The Hit" arrived at 910 Victoria Drive, and they had a look
at the suite with Jack. The suite was left in a mess. "The Hit" was
still determined to take the suite. He gave Jack $150.00 dollars
towards the first months rent and the $100.00 dollar damage deposit on
the $400.00 dollar per month suite. They agreed to meet again on the
15 TH of March 1998 for a second look at the suite. Jack committed to
cleaning up the place, painting the apartment, and replacing the
stove. "The Hit" returned to Burnaby with his receipts, and Bob
dropped him off at his suite in Burnaby with the Subaru Legacy. The
next few days saw "The Hit" working on the project, and while he
worked he thought about the lead up to meeting the Clan from Clavet in
Saskatoon.

In Saskatoon, "The Hit" finished his courses at the University of
Saskatchewan, and Leo got his loan at the St. Brieux Credit Union.
"The Hit" had been looking at several places, and he chose a mobile
home in Star Trailer Court on Idlewild & Circle Drive in Saskatoon.
The mobile home was a 3 bedroom, kitchen, living room, washroom, and
laundry area. Leo paid "The Hit" $10,000.00 for his share of the
land, and "The Hit" paid $10,000.00 for the mobile home. This left
"The Hit" with nothing left after the lawyer put the check trough the
account for the trailer. "The Hit" needed money, and he needed a job
quick. He talked to Pat, Dan, and Rob about renting the trailer for
the summer. They decided to give it a try for the summer as "The Hit"
went to St. Brieux to start a job in St. Brieux. "The Hit" didn't
have the cash to get to Lloydminster to get his RD 400 from the Yamaha
in Lloydminster, so he took the bus to St. Brieux. He started working
for Tim Woods at his apiary at the end of April 1980.

Humboldt: Crazy?

The summer of 1980 went quickly. Leo left "The Hit" live on the Rocky
Ridge, and working in Pathlow on the apiary was a learning
experience. They are tame bees, but the don't like loosing their
honey, either. It takes about 50 trips for the bee to make one
teaspoon of honey, and they have an issue with loosing their honey.
The bee beards you might have seen on Television are interesting.
But, the bees are just going to a queen. The bees are happy! We all
need a queen. The bees are not so happy when you steal their honey.
The stolen crates from the hive are heavy with honey. "The Hit"
carried 30 - 80 pound crates to the flatbed truck and trailer as the
wild flowers, Alfalfa, and Canola gave up their honey to the
protective little bees. The bees worked. It's interesting that many
honey bees don't make it home because they wear the outer edges of
their wings off after 3 - 4 weeks during peak honey time .
Eventually, they just don't make it home with a little more honey.
Fall approached in the apiary as "The Hit" approached moving day in
Burnaby.

On Victoria Drive, the beers went quickly that Saturday afternoon.
"The Hit" offered to sand the floors in the bedroom, and Jack agreed
to cover the cost of the sander and sand paper to help improve the
floors in the bedroom. Bob and "The Hit" scheduled a floor sander
with Rick at A & B Tool Rentals for the rest of the weekend. They
went to the Main Street location to pick up the floor sander, before
they returned with the sander to haul it upstairs for sanding the
floors on Sunday. Bob dropped "The Hit" off in Burnaby on his way to
North Vancouver, and they agreed to get started late Sunday morning.
"The Hit" went straight to sleep, after he checked his email. The
next morning Bob dropped by on his way to his work, and "The Hit"
started sanding floors in the apartment at noon on Sunday March 16 TH
in his new suite. The black paint that was on the floors came off
slowly, and between the small and large sander the wood grain found
light once again.

Jack, Steve, Ray, and "The Hit" walked into the WISE house on Adanac.
There was regularly a row of bikes parked out front of the bar when
"The Hit" started Envirotech in the early 1990's. The dimly lit room
bar on the lower level was almost empty that Sunday afternoon. They
were stopped at the counter / bar on the way into the club. The door
man smiled with recognition, and "The Hit" felt that he knew his
picture. Ray asked if there was someone in the bar to sign the 4 of
them into the house. The door man walked over to the two men sitting
in the middle of the room. The two men looked over at Jack, Steve,
Ray and "The Hit". It was too far to hear their words, however the
stretched body language of the taller, darker haired man did not
appear to be defensive. The heavier blond man appeared to be doing
the talking. The counter man returned to his counter, and he said
there was no one to sign them into the house. "The Hit" felt mixed
with relief that today might not be the day to stand up in the
neighbourhood, and he wondered if the two of them had a vested
interest in not letting the 4 of them into the bar.

They took the scenic route north toward Hartranft Street before
turning left at Hartranft Street on to S Broad St / PA-611 for
several 1/2 a km. They continued straight on S Broad St / PA-611
before taking the I-95 S ramp on the left to the I-76 for a 20
metres. They merge onto the I-95 S past the Reserve Basin where the
American ships could be seen in the distance. "The Hit" was starting
to realize the difference between Canadians and Americans during the
trip. They loved their history, and they loved their military.
Canadians knew little of their history, and they didn't have the knack
for the killing. Meanwhile, they too Exit 15 to merge onto Enterprise
Avenue toward Island Avenue as Bill and "The Hit" talked about a
successful trip. They turned right on to Island before turning right
into Westin Suites at 4101 Island Avenue in Philadelphia. "The Hit"
thanked Bill for his help, and they agreed to talk more when "The Hit"
returned to Burnaby.

in 1997, Leo asked him for help in contacting "The Hit". Calvin
explained in the voice mail that he was trying to contact "The Hit"
for Leo. "The Hit" was relieved that was why Calvin had tracked him
down at N Ranalagh Avenue in Burnaby. "The Hit" phoned Calvin to
thank him for the message. Once again, he ended up at the front desk
which transferred his call to Calvin's office. The phone rang through
a few times, and once again "The Hit" ended up in voicemail. "The
Hit" left a message for Calvin, which included his thanks for his
efforts in finding "The Hit". He promised to contact Leo in St.
Brieux. While, Calvin and "The Hit" made two calls each, they
exchanged messages while never actually speaking to each other
directly. The CFL game began on the television computer in the
computer room guarded by a camera.

Christmas

MJ and "The Hit" talked about contacting each other again. Cayla
wanted to send a present, and "The Hit" gave his address to MJ to send
a present. They also talked about whether he would be in Saskatchewan
in the future. "The Hit" explained that he had spoken with Leo
regarding possibly taking a trip to St. Brieux for Christmas.
However, "The Hit" said he was not sure if he would have the money for
Christmas until next week. They agreed that "The Hit" would call back
next week once the bank paperwork arrived. After saying goodbye to
Cayla "The Hit" sat back in shock. This was the last thing he was
expecting to happen. He was happy, and he was shocked. He was
worried that the Mysterious Financier and his crew would cause a
problem. He listened carefully through the window guarded by a camera
which was open for the entire phone call.

In the washroom "The Hit" yelled "go get the police." The person on
the other side of the door said "What". "The Hit" repeated "go get
the police". The person asked "Are you serious". "The Hit" said
"Yes, go get the police." "The Hit" heard footsteps. "The Hit" tried
to calculate who long it should take the Vancouver Police Department
to arrive in this busy part of the city. He figured he would settle
in for 10 - 15 minutes under the circumstances. The sawed off shotgun
remained zipped up in the bag as he looked in the mirror. How had it
come to this! He was thinking about Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and
the Clan from Clavet when someone came to the door, again. It was way
to quick. It could not have been more than 5 minutes. The woman
identified herself as the police. "The Hit" was not sure if he should
open the door because of the quickness of the situation. He said
"That was quick? She said something about being in the Britannia
Weight Room working out. Whatever she said after that did not matter,
because "The Hit" now knew why the door was locked. He opened the
door for the woman who represented herself as a policewoman wearing
what appeared to be gym clothing.

Canadian Train

Pacific Central Rail Station

"The Hit" watched out the window as The Canadian Train started out of
the Pacific Central Rail Station in Vancouver with the next stop
scheduled in Matsqui. The Canadian Train worked it's way out of
Vancouver, and "The Hit" watched the city through the window as he
wondered just how much support the Mysterious Financier had raised in
the Fraser Valley. It was dark at 19:00 at this time of the year, and
"The Hit" would not see the much but city lights for several hours.
"The Hit" decided to watch the city lights from the bar car. He
worked his way to the back of The Canadian Train, where he found the
Skyline Lounge. He sat down, and he waited for the lounge attendant
while Burnaby passed by the window. He was astonished to see that
Jack Ma was running the bar car. Jack had been his landlord at 910
Victoria Drive in Vancouver during 1991, before "The Hit" moved to
Richmond. They talked and briefly while "The Hit" ordered a Canadian
Beer from Jack, and "The Hit" found out that Jack would be on the
train all the way to Saskatoon.
