Hey skaters - any interest in participating in an Indy Marathon in April??

Hi all,

 

I’m in the process of lobbying with the Carmel Marathon to include blading in the 2015 race, as an exhibition.   Trying to build up some support by getting some of our more advanced skaters out there (with 90 minute marathon times or better), to show them that we take such racing seriously, and can integrate in with their running race.  Not trying to discriminate – but rather trying to get their attention that we’re serious….and then later also suggest that they could open up the shorter distances to more “typical” skaters!

 

The race would be April 18^th, up in Carmel.  Check out www.carmelmarathon.com for more information.  Let me know your interest, so I can get the ball rolling.

Hi Guys.

I am also in if my knees allow.

I had double knee surgery (torn meniscus in both knees, frayed cartilage, etc...) 4 weeks ago. Recovery is going amazingly well, but my physical therapists is uncertain about my future as an in-line skater. High risk of doing more damage to my knees. We'll see....

Thanks Lin. I'm doing great and already able to bike and weight train. Will have to wait and see how it feels to skate; but keeping my fingers crossed that I'll still be able to do some skating.
