Hello 5th grade families,
I hope you are enjoying this extra day off and the snow!! This year our 5th grade class will oversee and run the bake sale at the Spring Fling on March 29th. In order to make this a successful event, I need all of your help!
First, we need as many families as possible to provide baked goods, or store-bought goods for the sale. The theme this year is “Treasure Island”, so any treats that would go along with that theme would be great. However, treats do not need to be theme based. I am purchasing “pirate themed” sugar cookies from Delicately Sweet Confections that I am hoping the fifth-grade students can decorate. We also need gluten free and nut free treats. Each treat will need to be individually wrapped and clearly labeled. Please sign up using this link: http://signup.com/login/entry/636997056657034076
Second, we need students and parent volunteers for the night of the event. Each “shift” is designed for two students and one parent and they are arranged in half hour increments. We also need parents to help with set-up and take-down. Please sign up using this link: http://signup.com/login/entry/957031390216324018
Third, if any of you are talented at decorating and have a passion for it, I would love your input and help! Please email me directly if you would like to help with this.
Finally, the 5th graders need to make posters to advertise for their bake-sale. Unfortunately, I cannot go into the classroom due to my work schedule so I will be hosting a poster-making party at my house on Wednesday, February 13th after school from 2:15-4:00. Please email me directly if your child can attend the poster making party. I will have all materials and supplies to make the posters.
Thank you for all of your support on this… it will take all of us to make this a successful bake sale 😊
