Hi All

I am trying to integrate Apache shiro with an SSO provider SiteMinder. Is it possible to integrate?
Is there any text available to do the same?

Thanks in advance
Niraj

Hi,

The question is: what protocol does Siteminder support?

It seems: SAML 2.0. In that case, you should read: http://www.pac4j.org/1.9.x/docs/clients/saml.html

Thanks.
Best regards,
Jérôme

Hi All,

As I noted on GitHub [1], we're considering using pac4j to achieve Siteminder integration.  I'd like to ask if anyone has achieved this architecture.  While we won't be using pac4j directly, my understanding is that pac4j is the underlying component in Apache Knox, providing SAML assertions.

The reason I am trying to investigate this configuration, is that Siteminder isn't listed by name in the list of SAML 2 providers on pac4j.org [3].  Additionally, I want to validate that it is achievable, beyond CA's documentation saying that Siteminder can ct as a SAML 2.0 Service Provider [4].

Thanks,

Hi,

If Siteminder follows the SAML spec, it should work with pac4j. If not, we'll fix what needs to be fixed.

Thanks.
Best regards,
Jérôme

Hi Jérôme,

That's fantastic, thank you.  We'll give it a shot over the next few weeks and let you know how it goes.

Thank you,
Brian
