Ladder 69-13 reports heavy smoke from the eves. 2nd alarm struck
soon afterward. 1 subject transported to Pottstown Hospital for

It is with deep regret the officers and members of Hilltown Township
Volunteer Fire Department, Line Lexington, PA. announce the death of
past 1st Assistant Chief and Life Member Peter Dared Jr., who
succumbed to injuries of a 27 Sep 2000 motor vehicle accident on 6 Oct
2000. Peter Dared Jr. has served the department for the past 54 years
and has been a strong influence on the younger members for many years.
Peter has been a constant positive presence at the department and has
run the department's fund drive for many years. Viewing and services
will be held on 10 Oct at the Chalfont United Methodist Church located
RT 202 & Meadowbrook Lane Chalfont, PA. Viewing will be from 9am-11am
and services will commence at 11am with internment to follow. All
departments wishing to send representative and/or apparatus are

HTFD...@aol.com. At the families request, in lieu of flowers please
make donations in Peter Dared Jr's name to the Hilltown Township

Fire**, Box 39-30, Re-Max Action Rental, 597 Horsham Rd. Reports of
fire in the ceiling at the rear of the bldg. Chief 15 on scene heavy
smoke from the roof and quickly struck a 2nd alarm. Stations 15.
