Our client, a leading Data Warehouse/Data Mining Software firm has an
immediate opening for a qualified Pre-Sales Engineer. This is an exciting
and challenging opportunity.
The qualified candidate will provide Pre-Sales technical leadership in a
sales opportunity. Responsibilities include providing demonstrations of
product capabilities. Delivery of complex prototypes and benchmarks are
expected. The Engineer will work as a liaison with Hardware/Software
vendor colleagues and will develop relationships with customers' senior
technical staff. You will focus on our Business Intelligence products. This
position has been created due to increased growth in the territory.
-Proven experience with RDBMS technology, such as Oracle, Sybase or
Informix, or
SQLServer
--Experience with Web/Internet technology a plus
-Strong SQL skills
-Visual Basic experience a plus
-Minimum one year of industry experience
-Related college degree or equivalent experience
-Provide technical product overview and demonstrations on all supported
platforms
-Provide User Group and trade show support
-Perform advanced or complex prototyping for Company Business
Intelligence
products.
-Perform needs analysis and RFP/RFI responses
-Perform Account Management duties
-Follow up on accounts for technical issues related to sales cycle
