Do you know how to use an e mail program?
If so, you might be eligible to participate in a user study!
Our research group at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for
participants for a study related to usability of e-mail programs (not
webmail).
In order to be eligible, you must:
* Be at least 20 years old
* Be a native English speaker
* Be currently working or have worked for a company where you have
been or were assigned an email account of such company
(you will NOT use such account during the study)
* Not hold (or being currently pursuing) a degree in Computer
Science and/or Computer/Electrical Engineering related professions
(including Information Sciences, Information Technology, Software
Engineering, Networking, etc.)
In sum, you must not be a (computer-related) technical user
* Have experience with an email program like Microsoft Outlook
2000/Express/XP/2003, Mozilla Thunderbird, Mozilla Mail & News,
Eudora, Pegasus, Incredimail, etc. under Microsoft Windows and not
only webmail interfaces (Squirrel, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.)
* Have at least basic experience with Microsoft Word (creating,
opening, saving and formatting documents)
In our study you will have to perform some tasks related to handling e-
mails (including creating and replying emails with and without
attachments, and opening attachments). You will read some introductory
material related to the experiment and then perform the tasks
assigned.
You will be scheduled to participate in at least one session that
could last from 30 to 120 minutes (more than 90 minutes is unusual).
We will compensate you with a payment of between $15 and $22 for your
participation.

study, unfortunately you are not eligible to participate in this one.
