Hello everybody,

Glad to be a part of this group. Hope to exchange some fun ideas
with you and participate in any discussions. It's rewarding to meet
other "outdoor-freaks" like me.

If you want to get an idea about me, you can check out my website,
Nature Connections. (http://natureconnections.net) -- In a nutshell,
it is a non-commercial (private) website that encourages my neighbors
in PA to discover the many activities available in our back yards to
make a connection with nature.

Feel free to join me on Facebook, if you are on there too.

Talk to you soon,
Rob Garman (Ziggy Trek)

Hi Ziggy Trek,
I love your website! You have a lot of great information. I
agree that children should have more time to interact with nature. I
was lucky as a kid to go with my mom and grandma to pick berries and
mushrooms in the mountains. My brothers and I built forts in the
woods, we would canoe as a family and spend summer days at the lake.
Especially as an adolescent I would go spend time walking around in
the woods and looking for what could be found, probably myself, in
retrospect. I know living in Philly makes me crazy at times and I have
to go home to the country to breathe. I feel bad for kids in my city
who miss out on the freedom in nature. I'm planning to pass this
information on to my brothers who have children as well as my cousins.
What a great resource! -Amber
