Howdy Beeple,

Below are the dates from our return-bees-to-PSU days this year.  Before each one Tom Butzler will send out a sheet of Extension folks that will be attending each event and you will be able to drop off your bees with whoever is closest to you. They will shuttle them to the meeting, and then we'll get them to us in State College.  So stay tuned for those emails.

  •  July 15-16, Hort Team Professional Development training in State College.
  • August 12-14 - Ag Progress Days outside of State College
  • November 5-6, Boalsburg (just outside of State College) Joint Council of Educational Professionals

FYI, everybody, all county coordinators are invited to the Professional Development in State College on July 15-16, so ask your coordinator if they are going!

How should we label the box with the samples inside so they get to the right place? My county coordinator will be travelling to State College on July 15th. I'm going to give her my samples to date this afternoon.

I think in the past people have just put them in a bag / box (whatever you have) with your name and PA Bee Monitoring, and make sure to tell Tom ("Tom Butzler" <tmb...@psu.edu>) about the handoff and who the coordinator is, because he'll tell them all where to drop stuff off at the meeting.

@Butzler, Thomas Murphy is there any certain way for Denise to label her collections to make sure they get here?

Denise, I think typically putting "To: Sarah Kania  Lopez-Uribe Lab 501 Ag Sciences Building Bee Monitoring Program" should be sufficient.

Thanks,
Sarah

That is correct.  Usually, educators and coordinators bring them to the meeting site and I start a collection throughout the day.  I typically run them over to ASI once I have them all.
