to PA 2011 Inauguration Rally
Rec'd from Ben, yesterday: Hello friends,

I'll make this short and to the point.

The best bet for bus drop off is the 300 block of Market St (between
3rd and 4th) here in Harrisburg. A google map search should show that.
You will be dropping off in front of the Rachel Carson building (DEP
Headquarters) but please resist the temptation to start picketing
there.

Currently the street closings are not entirely announced. More than
likely, folks attending the rally will not be able to approach from
Commonwealth Ave and will have to travel from market up 4th, right
(east) onto Walnut and follow it around the back of the capitol
complex and enter from 7th Street.

If you need further assistance with this, please contact me.

The post rally meeting will be held at the Quaker Meeting house at
1100 N 6th St Harrisburg, PA, 17102-1403. I would suggest having buses
pick up along Verbeke St on the south side of the Broad Street Market.
This street is wide enough to give space the buses and the market will
not be open on Tuesday. There is a parking lane along the entire south
side of the street between 3rd and 6th.

The meeting will be held from 1-4. Please do not be discouraged from
attending the meeting even in cases where you may not be able to stay
for the whole time due to travel time concerns.

We will be providing refreshments and light food during the meeting.
Donations to help differ these costs would be greatly appreciated.

I am asking all of you to give me an approximate headcount of your
buses, carpools, etc. Additionally, if you plan on staying for the
most-rally meeting, please let me know so we can get an idea.

Any further questions can be emailed to me or directed to me by phone
at 717 434 5795. I will be in Laporte Friday night for the summit
there and will be visiting the gas rigs and affected families on
Saturday, returning Sunday. I may not have reception but I will try to
get back to you in a timely manner. Text messages are encouraged if I
don't answer.

Look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!
