I don't know about the happenings of
p4a.org, perhaps Nate Aune will say at some point. IIRC, it shows what p4a can do.. must confess though i've not seen it in a while.
I wouldn't say that the project dead... For the most part the product works. We've been using it for a few years now on our 3.3.5 production site. I've also been testing a branch of video and audio that enables blobs to work.
IMHO this is a great slew of add-ons for Plone. If i can paraphrase what Lennart said once (prolific p4a.calendar maestro).. (IIRC) calendaring etc is really nice but unless its needed in a project, with paid support, there really isn't going to be much developer activity for free.
Sooooo, I guess that's the state we're in at the moment.
