The reason for this is to make it easier to provide alternative
recurrence implementations, such as the one developed by Andreas Jung
recently, and the one that will be developed for Plone 4. (Both based
on the experiences of p4a.ploneevent).
NB! To all users! This means that if you are using a buildout (and you
probably are) and have recurring events in your site, they will stop
being recurring until you also install p4a.ploneevent.
The fix is easy: Anywhere in your buildout that you have a line that
says p4a.plonecalendar also add another line saying p4a.ploneevent,
then rerun buildout.
