Hoy, Phillip and folks.  I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I've been toying with an interface concept that may be relevant to P2PU.  Stian's already expressed reservations in terms of the accessibility/efficiency vs. user-experience compromise, but I've tried to address it a bit.

Apologies for wasting your time if this is not at all what you're interested in.

Hey Danny: Thanks for this. I found it a little difficult to visualise
- do you have a mock-up or sketch or an example that one could look
at? With regards to Second Life, I am undecided on the question if
learning is better in 3D, but it's simply too power and bandwidth
hungry for use in developing countries at this point.

UoT seems to be a hotbed of edu innovation ...
