Subject: Introducing Academic Earth - Video Lectures from Top Universities
To: p...@bokaap.net
Hi Philipp,
Given your interest in Open Educational Resources, I wanted to let you
know about Academic Earth (http://academicearth.org), which just
opened to the public.
Academic Earth is an educational video website with the goal of
enhancing the usability and expanding the awareness of OER, focusing
first on video lectures. We hope to do this through three means:
1. Centralizing the best video resources from multiple sources into
one easy-to-search hub.
2. Applying the latest best practices in usability and design.
3. Integrating crowd-sourcing and wiki tools so users can enhance
the experience for future users (these features to come).
As a college student, videos from MIT's Linear Algebra course and from
TED.com were great resources for me, and I hope that Academic Earth
will help valuable tools like these reach even more people around the
world.
I would value the opportunity to hear your feedback and suggestions
for the initiative; feel free to contact me at this address or through
the site.
If you like what you see, I would really appreciate it if you would
spread the word to your friends, colleagues, and the readers of
Sharing Nicely.
Warm Regards,
Richard

Excellent resource. Excellent idea. Maybe you can include some video lectures offered by Top Universities. For example, Yale Law Schools Video events, MIT World videos or NIH video lectures.
Anyway, thanks for the initiative.
Best Regards,
Ana Rosa Amorim.
