I will be video linking in by either Skype Video or H.323 Video to the classroom. Anyone else who wants to participate by video should send their Skype handle to me and Janak ( janak....@gmail.com ) beforehand. If you'd like to make comments by video either during the discussion or during the project presentations, you are welcome to do so.
I think there have been some workflow issues setting up the blogs and I'd like to get feedback on how people feel about the communication modes and collaboration tools. I realize it's a bit bumpy at the beginning, but we should iterate and try to get into our stride this week. We can begin by discussion any issues people have and solve any of the easy ones immediately or take them offline to solve.

We will then go through the currently proposed projects, solicit feedback, discuss and ask people to either formally lead or join a project. Project leaders or groups are welcome to make short presentations about their projects. Try to get project ideas in today. I will give a quick overview of this coming week's topic "Week 2 - What is online journalism?" We may have guest speakers. Hopefully we'll have some time to discuss the topic during the class and people are encouraged to start the readings now, but we'll have the week to continue the discussion. We can spread the discussion out across Twitter and personal blogs, but please try to post links to interesting posts on the forums as well.
