It took me some time to get approved on this group and It looks like not much is happening on the group. I’ve got a Quantar waiting to be configured, but not sure exactly how to go about it. I think this “http://wiki.w9cr.net/index.php/Allstar_and_P25_on_Quantar” method is the standard but I don’t really know for sure. I need some pointers but my last posts went unanswered. So...is it worth it. Should I setup a P25 repeater?

If you’re not willing to do the research like the rest of us repeater owners then no it’s not worth your time. If your willing to spare the time to go through all of the posts on this group that will answer your questions then it will be worth your time. You decide.

Being an RF guy, and not an IT guy, I feel your pain. I have had a VHF P25 only Quantar on the air for a number of years. It remains unused. Even the Analog repeaters are not near as busy as the used to be, even in a county of 150K. Linking said repeater would certainly foster some activity, at the least. Back in the olden days, you could always find an “Elmer”’, but those are a vanishing breed.
