I've been trying to get this to come up for the better part of an evening, and
having no success.

I have a DIU3000 talking to a Cisco and the serial/HDLC link comes up ok. Now
taking that same DIU and connecting it to a Quantar, using the stock wireline
board/v.24 boards I can't seem to get it to come up. I'm thinking it must be
a CD/RTS issue, but it's configured properly to clock the DIU.

I'm thinking it must be the cable/DB-25 to RJ45, but I've constructed it
according to the manual.

If anyone has a diu3000 to quantar RJ-45 to DB-25 working, please be so kind
as to share you configuration and the pinout.

Anyone have any ideas?

Bryan,

It’s been a few years since I created this, but I did find this in my archive.

I got it figured out. It was the stupidity of clocking in motorola.

Essentially they don't clock the other side if set to internal clocking. It's
stupid.

Bryan,

I think I went through this same problem when I first starting playing with the DIU. Eventually got it working through trial and error :).

Haven’t used DIU, however, since I’ve been on P25NX. I remember how excited I was when I found one for only $250 at Dayton in 2012. Now they’re going for next to nothing.
