combining PDF files into one (1) PDF file

hi, i am using a flat-bed scanner (one (1) page at a time to make PDF files), to make PDF files from hard copy documents. i can only make single page docs this way, and i want to combine several into a single PDF document. anyone have any suggestions as to how to do this? thank you.
