I'm a tech writer working on a project that includes documenting the interface/user screens from an industrial PLC/HMI network. The HMI interface is a PC application which generates vector art ".gfx" files. Unfortunately, these screens also contain a lot of other data, programming "objects", and the like.
When I try to select "print to file" to capture just the visible screen information, I only see a ".prn" option to print to, not a ".ps". So I'm stuck with nasty low-res, fuzzy-type, non-scalable bitmaps for all my graphics.
Do I have any options for generating a real PDF? Just able to use the "fix text" tool in Acrobat to make changes line by line would be a big step up. I've never tried it, but would something like Win2pdf "prn => pdf" be able to shortcut this issue?
Much obliged for any help or suggestions anyone might have.
