OWF Migration

This may be impolitic to ask in the ozone forum, and no offense is intended, but does anyone have any recommendations/experience with switching from the OWF to a comparable technology? I've been tasked with finding an alternative given that we're trying to migrate off Java 8 and toward something that's more common in the industry (if that exists). There's just not a lot of information out there regarding switching from OWF to some more widely used technology.
