Hello Folks,

In case you don't know me, I'm Mitch from Melbourne.

Recently I got an email from Ben Dechrai, one of the organisers of
OSDC. With his permission, I'll repost it here:

6-Feb-2014: A message from Ben Dechrai

Hi hackerfolk!

In case you hadn't heard, OSDC returns to Melbourne in October 2014,
and we'd love to run a hackday of some sort before the main conference
starts. Would any of you want to take on the organisation of this, the
the marketing and promotion support of the conference organisers?
We'll provide the venue, catering, internet access, etc, and you
provide the speakers, workshops, or whatever you think it takes to
make awesome!

You're more than welcome to charge to run the event, in order to
recover costs for hardware they'll be taking, and so forth. We'll
manage the registration and payment and will pay for your costs on a
pre-approved expenses basis, which means delegates will have a single
point of registration, and the cost of food/venue overheads will be
added on to your costs.

By the way, I met Tobias, one of the hack-and-tell organisers, on
Tuesday evening, and he showed an interest in running a hack-and-tell
for an hour or two at OSDC. Perhaps he could work with you lot and run
this after the hackday?

Cheers!
Ben Dechrai
