Hackerspace in Cairns

Hi Caterina,

I'm not aware of any hackerspaces in Carins at the moment, and there are none on the giant list at hackerspaces.org. Setting up one on there and gathering some interest in one is probably your best bet atm.

If there's anything I can do to help let me know.

Also you might want to join the HSBNE mailing list, as I know there are people from all over the state on there, including some from your neck of the woods.

I am not aware of anything - but here is your opportunity! Find some like minded souls and start one - you can list on hackerspaces.org as "forming" and meetup.com (and other social media) is a great way to find people.

This is what I did on the Gold Coast - we are still relatively small compared to places like HSBNE but have a great vibrant community now and it's been a lot of fun.

Even if it's just 2 or 3 of you meeting at a pub or someone's garage you're still a hackerspace - and is in fact how most of the AU hackerspaces started.
