İsrail ablukasını delme hedefiyle Gazze yolunda olan Küresel Sumud Filosu'ndaki teknelere gece saatlerinde patlayıcı maddelerle çok sayıda saldırı düzenlendi.

İsrail ablukasını delme hedefiyle Gazze'ye doğru yolculuğuna devam eden Küresel Sumud Filosu'nun yeni bir saldırıya uğradığı bildirildi.

Filoda yer alan aktivistler, Gazze'ye bin 100 kilometre mesafede teknelerin sis bombaları, kimyasallar ve patlayıcı fişeklerle hedef alındığını söyledi. Aktivistler saldırılardan İsrail'i sorumlu tuttu.

Filodaki teknelerin geçtiğimiz günlerde de dronlardan atılan patlayıcı maddelerle hedef alındığı açıklanmıştı.

"İsrail, uluslararası sularda yardım taşıyan insani yardım görevlilerini tehdit ediyor ve yıldırmaya çalışıyor" diyen gruptakiler ülkeleri filoya güvenli geçiş sağlanması için İsrail'e baskı yapmaya çağırdı.

Aktivistlerin bu açıklamasından önce Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) Filistin Özel Raportörü Francesca Albanese, X hesabından, İsrail'i hedef alarak "Uluslararası sularda insani yardım botlarına dokuz saldırı bildirildi – hem de gecenin bir yarısı! Karada soykırımcı, denizde kanun tanımaz" diye yazdı.

Ağustos ayı sonunda İspanya'nın Barcelona kentinden yüzlerce aktivistin katılımıyla yola çıkan Sumud Filosu, savaşın harap ettiği bölge halkına insani yardım ulaştırmak amacıyla Gazze'ye gitmeyi hedefliyor. "Sumud" Arapça'da "kararlılık" ve "direniş" gibi anlamlara geliyor.

İsrail daha önce benzer girişimde bulunan teknelere müdahale etmiş, mürettebat ve aktivistleri gözaltına alarak sınır dışı etmişti.

Trump ve Erdoğan Gazze toplantısına katıldı

Bu arada Salı günü ABD Başkanı Donald Trump, New York'taki Birleşmiş Milletler Genel Kurulu oturumları çerçevesinde Arap ve Müslüman ülkelerin liderleriyle Gazze konulu bir toplantı gerçekleştirdi.

Toplantıya Türkiye Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın yanı sıra İsrail'in geçtiğimiz günlerde savaş uçakları ile saldırı düzenlediği Katar'ın lideri ve diğer bölge ülkelerinin temsilcileri katıldı.

Times of Israel sitesinin haberine göre, Trump "en önemli görüşmem" dediği toplantının başında basına yaptığı açıklamada, "Gazze'deki savaşı sona erdirmek istiyoruz. Savaşı sona erdireceğiz" diye konuştu.

"Bu benim en önemli toplantım. Çünkü bu, muhtemelen hiç başlamaması gereken bir şeyi sona erdireceğimiz toplantı" ifadelerini kullanan ABD Başkanı görüşme sonrası ise herhangi bir açıklama yapmadı.

Erdoğan ise görüşmeyi "çok verimli" olarak niteledi ancak daha fazla detay vermedi.

Gaza-bound flotilla with Greta Thunberg on board struck by drones

Greta Thunberg’s flotilla trying to get life-saving supplies to Gaza has been struck by drones and flash grenades.

Footage shared on Instagram showed multiple explosions as the vessels, carrying humanitarian aid for besieged Palestinians, are currently situated near Greece.

‘Multiple drones, unidentified objects dropped, communications jammed and explosions heard from a number of boats,’ the Global Sumud Flotilla said in a statement.

‘We are witnessing these psychological operations firsthand, right now, but we will not be intimidated.’

Reports from those on board suggest that flash-bang grenades have been deployed along with chemical sprays.

No one has been injured in the attack and the flotilla continues to monitor the situation.

German human rights activist and flotilla member Yasemin Acar said in a video she posted on Instagram that five vessels had been attacked.

She stressed that the flotilla is only transporting humanitarian aid, adding:’We have no weapons. We pose no threat to anyone.

‘It is Israel who is killing thousands of people (and) starving the population.’

In an earlier video, Acar said that ’15 to 16 drones’ had been seen, adding that their radios had also been jammed as loud music could be heard.

In another video, Brazilian activist Thiago Avila said four boats had been ‘targeted with drones throwing devices’ just before another explosion was heard in the background.

The Global Sumud Flotilla set sail from Barcelona earlier this month with the aim of breaking Israel’s blockade of Gaza and delivering aid to the territory.

It currently numbers 51 vessels, most of which are situated off the Greek island of Crete.

The flotilla had already been targeted by drones twice in Tunisia, where its boat had been anchored before resuming its voyage towards Gaza.

The mission is the largest effort of its kind aiming to reach Gaza, where 2.4 million Palestinians live under an Israeli blockade.

Israel has previously intercepted Gaza-bound ships, seizing the vessels and deporting those on board.

It takes its title from the recent book of the same name by E Mark Windle. Sumud is an Arabic word which translates into English as steadfastness or perseverance. It is used by Palestinians to describe their nonviolent everyday resistance against Israel's occupation. Sumud emphasises the commitment of the Palestinian people to remain on their land despite hardship and oppression, elevating their everyday existence into a form of resistance. Lan narhal translates as ‘we will not leave’. Together ‘Sumud! Sumud! Lan narhal’ conveys the determination of the Palestinian people to refuse to be displaced.
