No: 121, 28 Haziran 2026, İsrail Hükümeti Tarafından 1915 Olaylarına İlişkin Alınan Karar Hk.

Tüm dünyanın gözü önünde Filistin halkına yönelik sistematik zulüm uygulayan ve Uluslararası Adalet Divanı'nda Gazzelilere karşı soykırım işlemek suçundan yargılanmakta olan İsrail hükümeti, 1915 olaylarıyla ilgili olarak kabul ettiği siyasi kararla kendi suçlarını örtbas etmeyi hedeflemektedir.

Hukuki ve tarihi gerçekleri yok addeden bu kötü niyetli girişim, Uluslararası Ceza Mahkemesi’nde Filistinlilere karşı işlenen suçlarla bağlantılı olarak yürütülen soruşturma kapsamında haklarında tutuklama emri bulunan Netanyahu ve suç ortaklarının içinde bulunduğu sıkışmışlığı gözler önüne sermektedir.

Türkiye, İsrail'in bölgedeki genişlemeci ve istikrarsızlaştırıcı politikalarının son bulması ve Netanyahu hükümetinin Filistin halkı başta olmak üzere sivillere karşı işlediği suçlardan dolayı hukuk önünde hesap vermesi için kararlılıkla çalışmaya devam edecektir.

'Distortion of historical facts': Azerbaijan decries Israel's recognition of Armenian Genocide

"The decision by the Israeli government concerning the so-called 'Armenian genocide' is a matter of serious concern," the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry decried the Israeli government’s decision to recognize the Armenian Genocide in a statement published Monday.

“The decision by the Israeli government concerning the so-called ‘Armenian Genocide’ is a matter of serious concern,” the statement said.

“The distortion of the historical facts surrounding the events of 1915 and the reduction of a complex historical issue to a political decision without a sound legal or scholarly basis are unacceptable.”

The statement added that the move by Israel does not contribute to “reconciliation” or “mutual understanding” between the two countries but rather deepens divisions and undermines the last peace, and the Azerbaijani government called on Israel to reconsider its decision.

Some 32 UN members formally recognize Armenian Genocide

The Israeli government voted on Sunday to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide, following a resolution proposal put forth by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.

“The Israeli government approved a short time ago the resolution I presented to it recognizing the Armenian Genocide,” Sa’ar said following the vote. “It’s never too late to do the right thing.”

“This horrific genocide, which took place more than 100 years ago and regarding which there is no real dispute over the historical facts, included the murder of 1.5 million people and the destruction of an ancient cultural and historical heritage.”

Turkey denies that the massacres, imprisonment, and forced deportation of Armenians amounted to genocide, and Israel long avoided recognizing it as such due to diplomatic sensitivities.

As of 2026, 32 UN member states, including the United States, Canada, Russia, and Germany, have formally recognized the genocide. The Catholic Church’s governing body – the Holy See – and the European Parliament have also officially recognized it.
