Hi Ozberry!

I'm from the Brisbane Hackerspace.  Like many of the other great active hackerspaces/makerspaces around Australia, we are financially just scraping by.  As well as running classes, events and charging membership, we have begin to look into writing grant letters and engaging in partnerships with local businesses.  I'd just like to ask if your space has done the same, have had any luck or have any advice to give to a fellow space.  I'm also writing to all other spaces around Australia, and would be happy to compile a list of advice from other spaces to pass back.  I doubt we are the only space who is actively trying to tackle this problem.  Any advice or stories would be much appreciated.

Happy Hacking!

Hey Stephanie,

OzBerry doesn't run a space on it's own, but is thankfully hosted by Solidifier (run by David) once a month.
We'll be starting to do new sessions in between the monthly meetups, like the presentation on Wednesday.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Cheers,
