Flinders Investigators is a free public lecture series bringing the University's world-leading research to the wider community.

On Wednesday 20 July, Associate Professor Steve Hemming and Professor Daryle Rigney from the Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement at Flinders University will deliver their Flinders Investigators lecture on 'Indigenous nations, resilience and river system health'.

Indigenous nations worldwide are making a significant contribution to securing the health of the planet’s major river systems. In 2015 the Ngarrindjeri nation, in partnership with the SA Government’s Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, won the prestigious 2015 International RiverFoundation’s Australian Riverprize for best practice in river management.

Professor Daryle Rigney and Associate Professor Steve Hemming will talk about their nation-building work with the Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority and how developing healthy Indigenous nations can be fundamentally linked to healthy rivers and wetlands.

Join us at Flinders University Victoria Square to hear the July Flinders Investigators lecture.
