Kelleher Nightingale Consulting Pty Ltd, an archaeological company operating out of Sydney, is currently seeking Field Archaeologists for casual work on various archaeological programs in New South Wales.

 

Field Archaeologists work as part of a team on field based archaeological programs, under the direction and supervision of Senior Archaeologists. The role is responsible for delivery of tasks in a highly professional, safe, timely and cost effective manner. A number of positions are available to supplement the current field team. The positions are casual.

 

Selection Criteria

    A degree in Archaeology or related discipline with experience in Australian Aboriginal archaeology.

    Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team on archaeological projects.

    Demonstrated ability to work in consultation with Aboriginal stakeholders.

    Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

    Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.

Without wanting to make too light of a dire situation for WA heritage, I'd love to have seen this ad include:
"bus fare from Perth will be provided for successful applicants" (even if Matthew and Alison are good enough sorts to stump for plane tickets)
