Notice of CAS-ASHA Archaeology Symposium 2022The annual CAS-ASHA Archaeology Symposium will be held within the ACT and Region Heritage Festival as it has been in the past. This year it will return to the National Museum of Australia and be held within the Peninsula Theatre through a partnership with the NMA.
The event will be themed with the 'Curiosity' theme of this year’s Festival as ‘More than Curious’, so expounding on the idea that the pursuit of archaeology is not just motivated by curiosity as it may have been once and that it has tangible value.
It will run
from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 30/4/22. Admission will be by gold coin donation with advertising and bookings will be via the NMA’s online Calendar facility. The event will begin with a formal Welcome to Country and comprise four interesting archaeological speakers (both historical and prehistoric) followed by a Q&A panel of the speakers. A
detailed programme of speakers can be found via the NMA Calendar/Eventbrite booking facility -
