Hi all,

ACHM are seeking EOI’s from field archaeologists for a wide range of FIFO projects in the Pilbara that will run over the next 3-5 years.

Ideally, you will have an honours degree in archaeology (or equivalent), 3-5 years’ experience in remote area work, 4x4 training, senior first qualifications and be physically fit.

The work is varied, but includes site avoidance or site ID survey, site recording and both exploratory and salvage excavations.

The roster of projects usually requires blocks of work for 10-14 days at a time, with breaks of 7-10 days in between trips. We are happy to work with people to find the optimum work load / roster for individuals on a case-by-case basis.

Occasional helicopter work will be required.

You can be based anywhere in Australia as travel to and from the work site is covered – however, it is preferred that you are based within an hour to a capital city airport.
