I'll admit i've been getting caught up and aprehensive about if my interpretation of CQRS/DDD/etc. is "correct enough" to begin programming.

Sure you need an entry level of knowledge for advanced topics like that. But I have been getting caught up rather than just http://Programming-Motherfucker.com

I enjoyed that article too. You don't need to get things perfect upfront if you can stay flexible and change. Also, it is important to pick the right tool for the job. CQRS/DDD/Event Sourcing do not make sense for iFart apps. 

I sometimes waste a lot of time on environment and tooling, but then when I get everything right I find that productivity goes through the roof. So I think it is important to find a balance.

I liked it and agree too.

But I'm always weary of people using these sentiments as excuses to make uninformed decisions about going down one path or another.

People like Zed and Ward get away with programming motherfucker cos they are very smart motherfuckers.

Paralysis is bad but knowing what the fuck you are doing and keeping yourself informed is good.

Most people I work with do nothing but program mothetfuker and the results are worse than if they were paralyses I sometimes think.
