Integration with 802.1x?

Just wondering if anyone has gone into the specs and implementations of all the NGH stuff... WISPr 2.0, EAP over WISPr 2.0; Looked at the WBA and GSMA roadmaps, along with those of Android and Apple... the WBA Interoperability Compliancy Program, etc... and considered the routes for integrating these with OAuth / OZ / etc... Ie. using your SIM card as your authentication token, securely, through multiple layers and platforms...

I mean, ultimately this is just a small part of a much bigger authentication ecosystem - but part of that it is - and if the bigger picture: the dream of universal, secure authentication can be realized - and kept in mind in developing each of its moving parts, then those parts will fit together much better, not true?
