cheers mate i found it, How is the rod making going? i have finally got into my second and am plaining bamboo all holidays( well as much as i can between family stuff, which is quite a bit with a 1 year old son). it is great to get back into it again really enjoying it.

Happy New year mate. Rod making is going ok. Finished my second in November and promptly broke the tip last Friday. So I'll have to remake it. Third is in progress at the moment, trying to do one of Nick T's Boat rods. Would like to take it to NZ later this year.
1 is a great age, but then again I think all ages are great. Maybe not some of the teenage years but it seems to get better. I plan on doing my kids a rod each, sort of an heirloom sort of thing. Would like to get the ferrules etc carved but will have to see how the budget pans out.
Look forward to seeing No 2.
