OCC elections schedule

Hi Everyone,

 

The attached Nomination Form document is being translated and will be in this Friday’s Folder, but wanted to let you all know about the upcoming election schedule (thanks Claire!)

-Nomination forms go out in May 2 Friday folders;

-Nomination forms are due May 9.  Ballot is prepared/translated May 12-21;

-Ballots copied (1 p., double-sided Sp/Eng) May 22;

-Elections held Friday, May 23;

-Results publicized in Friday folders, May 30

-Last board meeting held June 10 for new member orientation.

We will need some volunteers to help with elections at both Adams and Oyster.  Please let me know if you can help out on May 23.  Thanks!

Hi,

Is there a plan to call an emergency OCC/LSRT meeting to deal with/discuss the firing of our principal, the turmoil being experienced by a lot of Oyster parents, where do we go from here?  Should we not meet before meeting with DCPS?  The OCC seems to be quiet about this issue and I think we need leadership for our Oyster Community.  Granted there was the meeting on Friday which I could not attend, but I have not heard any formal communication by email/newsletter from the OCC.  If there was one and I missed it, please let me know.

Just a thought.
