Next OCC board meeting is Tuesday, March 11

Hello OCC Board,

The next board meeting will be held on March 11, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Adams, this time.

Due to the imminent (looming?) general meeting where we vote on the budget for the coming year (April), I think we should devote most of this meeting to matters relating to drawing up the budget. Magaly and Emily, we'll devote half the time, I think, to Treasurer's matters.  I would like to have another board meeting before the general meeting, pushing that general meeting off toward the end of April (fine, I think because it's our last scheduled of the year).  But I want to get as much done as the Treasurers need us to, so we're going to start focusing on this now.

6:00 - 7:00 Discussion of budget requests and funding proposals
                OCA presentation and budget request/Judy Concha presentation and budget request
                Discussion of these and other requests
7:00 - 7:30 Fundraising (since we're on the topic) Chair's report (Serena)

Co-Chair's report - (Claire) I want to spend 15-20 mins. or so briefing you all on what progress has been made on various initiatives I've undertaken with various partners (legal, student council, Heritage Committees & Book of the Month program)

Hello dear Board members!

 

Oh my goodness, is there any way that we could have the meeting at the Oyster campus?  It makes such a big difference as far as ease of parking.  It can take arriving far in advance to have a good chance at a spot close by.  It might be a slightly different situation if the meeting began at 6:40, allowing for the 6:30 easing of parking restrictions in the neighborhood, but then of course we have the time crunch. 

 

Of course I share the desire to show school spirit for both campuses by holding the meeting at Adams.  I also believe that familiarity with both campuses makes us a better board.  I just thought I'd ask because of the parking.
