Hello 2015, goodbye meetup.com!

Hi all,

Just to let you know that we'll be returning to running Oxrug via oxrug.org and this google group in 2015, instead of using meetup.com. Meetups will be announced on the website and via this email list.

I'll be sending round an email to the meetup group explaining the situation and inviting new people to join this google group in order to stay in touch. If you've received this email, there's nothing that you have to do!

I'm away for the next few weeks, so expect the January meetup to be late - potentially Thursday 29th January (let me know if this date will prevent you from coming). Confirmation to follow shortly.

I was just wondering today if I had missed some announcement about the next meeting - apparently not :)  - 29th is fine by me.

The front page of the OXRUG website has a meeting which was last summer and a link to the Meetup Group. Thought you'd like to know!

As a small group, I don't think we were getting much value out of it - we don't have a need for a waiting list or any of the other features. Also, if anything, we communicated less than we did previously on the email list.
