Why would most people use TeamSpeak 5 over Discord? Or more importantly, how do I convince my friends to move over to TeamSpeak 5? The only compelling reason I can think of is better privacy using a self-hosted server, nothing more.

I have only seen TeamSpeak 5 in YouTube videos, however the way I see it see it, TeamSpeak has shot itself in the foot with TeamSpeak 5. Should I get invited to become a beta tester, I would be glad to have the opportunity re-evaluate my observations.

ts is not like dc
and you can use ts3 instead of ts5
ts3 will continue to be developed, you are free to decide which clients want to use, 2 client same server
and privacy is still better than dc

teamspeak is they were forced to do a new client becouse most of user went to discord becouse privacy was not the point, just flashy surface and simple permission system and hundreds of bots which no one check.

All registered users will have the option to create their very own TeamSpeak server. As voice quality and latency are so important to us, each user will have a dedicated server, hosted in the region of their choice.

My opinion is: TeamSpeak has to be made more attractive for gamers. You should start with the licenses and allow sponsorship again. The rest comes automatically. The TeamSpeak community used to provide their own physical servers for sponsoring. These were not costs for the company TeamSpeak.

You can of course stay loyal to TeamSpeak in critical days (I do that too) but if it comes to the point where the gamers are all just using discord then you have to do it too. If you play online games on platforms then software is required. At the moment it is (partly) TeamSpeak and I hope it will stay that way. When it becomes Discord you will get a Discord connection from your mates and no more TeamSpeak IP. What do you do then? Stop playing the game? Or laugh at your teammates?

I can get the test sound in teamspeak and the microphone pics up audio, but as soon as I connect to my server I loose audio but the microphone is working fine still. Then i loose the ability to hear the test sound in teamspeak as well, I had itunes playing music and this stopped as well until i exited from teamspeak.

If i exit and restart into teamspeak i can then get the test sounds again, i am using v3.0.18.1 of teamspeak and applied all updates for the software and fireware for my headset. Anyone able to shed light on this?

Now that we have multi crew aircraft, I need help getting Teamspeak working right. What I want to do is have voice activation to one or possibly more other clients, then push to talk to the rest of the channel. If anyone knows a mod for teamspeak that will do this easily can you please share.

Close random pilot. The problem I'm having is that with a whisper setup, it opposite of what I want to do. At least with how I'm using them. I'll keep playing with the settings. Possible user error from me.

So you could be connected to your server twice as the same client. The benefit here is you can join a channel you want to only 'listen' to and have your mic activated on your original connection so you can talk to people in your main channel.

So with receiving the free windows 10 update i went for it and got w10. Somewhere along the update it messed up so I decide to do a clean installed and whip my entire hard drive and do a fresh install.
This worked like a charm and fixed any issues I had with win 10.

After that I re downloaded arma 2 and arma 2OA as usual ran it once to do all the Battle eye updates. After that I got my play with six and the repository I use for the server i play on and downloaded everything. Launched the game and everything was working splendid accept one mod.. ACRE.

I'm using the old version of teamspeak 3.0.11.1 which everybody else in my unit uses so that's not the issue.
I've copie pasted the ACRE win 32.dll and win 64.dll from acre to my team speak plugins that didn't fix it either.
Changed some settings in teamspeak itself which sometimes causes problems with acre but that also didn't fix it.
I'm force running my game as administrator trough the game option in pw6.

If I run my teamspeak as administrator I get the error ingame which says. Acre is not connected to teamspeak
When im not running teamspeak as administrator I get this error.

With both running my TS as admin and just starting it up normally reloading plugins doesn't fix it.

So first off all I'm wondering if there's more people who have upgrade to win10 and have issues with acre
And of course second I want to know some addition tips or possible fixed to get this error out of my game :D

same here mate. im having this exact same problem. reinstalled arma 2 , 2 times and still nothing. i tried all the possible troubleshoots but to no avail. acre is just not working for my ts3. have you found a solution yet?? my problem is almost as same sa you but it may not be a pipe error but in my case its not connecting at all

Did either of you ever solve this problem? I'm trying to get an Arma 2 group going, running my own Arma/TS3 server, and I can connect just fine - but a friend, who's followed all the instructions, can't get "Arma 2 connected: YES". No idea how to help him, since the same thing works at my end.

You guys might try to restart your TS3 as admin after you join the game server. I have problem that my ACRE never works on first time after joining server, but after restart of TS it works.

I use TFAR as my main Radiomod when playing with my clan. ACRE i use only on servers that require it. Lately i was helping to instal TFAR to 8 people using different versions of WIndows with no problem.

I want to run teamspeak behind docker. Teamspeak needs a tcp connection on Port 30033 for file transfers. I can connect to the server fine, and speaking works, but file transfers don't work. Sometimes teamspeak gives me an error, sometimes teamspeak says it's fine but the files are always emtpy (0 bytes). If I don't route this ports over traefik but with

What i would do is install DIAL: then search online how to install a low
latency kernel a basic desktop of your choice (Just to make life easier)
and virtual audio cables for linux teamspeak has a linux installation as
well.. Their are several sip phone clients available out their on the
market and you could probably setup what ever needed to link into your
allstar node.. As far as machine speed and other info well I would at
least have 2 gigs of ram at minimum and recommend at least 4 gb of ram
if you really have to use a windows program in linux look at wine.. I
don't recommend this always try to find a linux alternative.. If your
wanting to run this computer off of 12 for power fail-over and other
needs check out a pico power supply..

Best of luck I hope i have pointed you in the right direction this is
not to say you couldn't get this done with the pi but you might have
issues with locking open allstar and i guarantee you don't want that..

my guess would be they're using the mumble shared memory file to verify the players server and map: :MumbleLinkNo Idea how to integrate that with something like teamspeak though; I've been using it with Qt C++ through a program I've made myself... that said if someone else has done it the tools must exist somewhere

Probably proprietary, but not sure. Multiple verification systems exists, but i have not tried any of them, so can't tell you how well they work.A google search for "gw2 teamspeak verify bot github" revealed multiple projects you could try and use.

As others have mentioned, you need to get an API key from the user you want to verifyOnce you have it, you can make a GET request at _token= which will provide you with various information about the player, including world ID (e.g. 2007 which is Far Shiverpeaks). To match a world id to a world, take a look at =all

Once you know the user needs to have access on your teamspeak server, you need to put the user in the correct servergroupThis can be done via the teamspeak serverquiry api. I have used -3-Java-API for the Far Shiverpeaks ts bot, however you are free to use what ever wrapper you want for the language you use (assuming there is one available, just google for it).Specifically for this wrapper, a servergroup can be given using api.addClientToServerGroup(serverGroupId, tsDatabaseId); where api is an instance of TS3Api. There is an example on the github page on how to obtain an instance of it.

I have a problem with Discord and TeamSpeak 3 clients on elementary OS 5.1.2 Hera. After a few hours of using either, the client just closes, no error message, nothing. On TS3 when I connect back to the server, my previous connection is still visible, but it times out after a minute. At first I thought that Linux port of Discord just does that, because it is pretty buggy and freezes a lot, but I was surprised to see that TS3 does the same, despite being the "stable and reliable one". So maybe elementary OS has a problem with voice chat apps? Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks!

Did you get them from flatpak? I've experienced problems with Discord when getting it from flatpak before. I usually just get the .deb file from Discord site. I've yet to had a problem doing it like that. Not sure about teamspeak though, sorry.
