I thought you guys and girls might be interested in this. This is a group that is working to get essentially the “3 Feet Please” rule passed in states and communities. They are working to get the message out. While the “share the road” is useful and giving a “reasonable space” to pass a cyclist is good, the slogans are a little vague.
Anyway, I’ve ordered one of these jerseys:
http://www.3feetplease.com to start getting the message spread to the drivers where I ride. The jersey is bright yellow and has "3 Feet Please" in big print.
The jerseys are reasonably priced at $60 (Voler), with 1 cent Priority Mail shipping! Comes in both long and short sleeve (same price for either). Since it is "not" the law around here, you can order one with a blank front.
The money that is raised by the sale of the jerseys, other than paying the product costs of the jerseys, goes to charitable endeavors. These endeavors include helping getting state and local laws for “3 Feet” and things such as award money to tipsters that can help catch perpetrators of bike vs. car hit and runs.
